Abstract This paper examines the use of digital
evaluation technologies in agricultural
education to evaluate students, focusing on
the benefits of online tests, simulations, and
data-driven decision-making tools. These
tools help teachers provide feedback, tailor
lessons, and gather performance
information. The paper highlights the
importance of digital assessment tools in
improving curriculum development and
assessing knowledge retention, practical
skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving
abilities in agricultural contexts. It also
highlights the correlation between
assessment techniques and learning
objectives, the support of individualized
instruction, and the evaluation of the
curriculum's strengths and weaknesses. The
paper also discusses the challenges and
elements to consider when implementing
digital assessment tools, such as
technological infrastructure, accessibility,
validity and reliability, training and
professional development for educators,
ethical considerations, and data privacy. The
foundation for this is an examination and
analysis of relevant literature. The use of
digital evaluation technologies in agriculture
education significantly impacts curriculum
design. Teachers using these resources can
enhance the curriculum, promote
individualized learning experiences, and
improve evaluation. However, more research
is needed to explore new technologies, make
suggestions for real-world applications, and
examine the long-term impacts of digital
assessment on student learning and
achievement. Understanding the benefits and
drawbacks of digital assessment instruments
can benefit both curriculum development and
efficient assessment techniques.

Abstract Children are the most tangible assets of any Nation as they are the future
and hope for their nation. In realising this fact, the Federal Government of
Nigeria in the National Policy on Education stipulated that ECCE will be
given all necessary attention to realise the defined goals. This study
therefore focused on the Assessment of the compliance rate in five major
cohorts of the National Minimum Standard Policy on ECCE in two selected
Local Government Areas in Delta State. Twenty-three public ECCE Centres
in existing Primary Schools were purposively selected from the two Local
Government Areas. The Minimum Standards Policy Compliance checklist
for Early Childhood Education was used to collect data from the different
ECCE centres. The collected data was analysed using descriptive analysis.
The results indicated a moderate compliance rate on staff qualification and
supervision. On record keeping and use of Instructional materials the study
revealed a very poor compliance rate. Though 20 schools claimed to have
some of the required Instructional materials, but these materials were not
sighted. Based on these findings it was recommended that the government
should be more committed in the implementation of the stipulated Policy
particularly in public schools.

Abstract Existing literature has shown that violence against women (VAW) is still
common in Africa. Harmful traditional cultural norms have contributed to VAW. The
identification and the awareness of the negative effect of these socio-cultural norms
(SCN) will reduce VAW in Nigeria. This work looks at the socio-cultural norms (SCN) that
lead to violence against rural and sub-urban Nigerian women. A mixed research
approach involving 400 people from Ikaland of different age levels, marital status, and
educational attainment was adopted. More than 75% of the respondents agreed that
blaming the wife for her husband’s angry outburst, not prospering, and his mysterious
death are the leading promoters of VAW. Others are; that a woman is not accorded
respect if she is not married, and it is not proper for a wife to deed any landed property
in her name. Participants suggested that schools could minimise these SCN by using
the teaching-learning process, mass media, and professional academic associations to
carry out public campaigns. This investigation adds to the current body of information
on SCN that promote VAW in the various ethnic groups and provides ways the schools

Abstract There is an inequality in developed and developing countries' research output in highly
reputable databases. One way to reduce this inequality is to encourage researchers in
developing countries to use online digital tools. This article examines the relationship between
lecturers' awareness and knowledge to utilising the free online digital tools (FODT) available for
literature review in the field of education. A correlation research approach involving 180
academic staff in tertiary institutions in southern Nigeria was adopted, using descriptive
statistics and correlation. A structured questionnaire elicited the participants' awareness,
knowledge, and utilisation of the free online digital tools available for literature review. The
findings indicate a low level of awareness, knowledge, and utilisation of the FODT. There was a
significant relationship between lecturers' awareness, knowledge, and utilisation of the FODT
available for literature review in education at a .05 level of significance. These results
demonstrate that awareness and knowledge of the FODT are useful prerequisites to effective
utilisation. It was recommended that stakeholders in research and education create awareness
of the availability of these FODT, carry out workshops on how to use them and replicate this
study in other developing countries.

Abstract Most learners find science challenging, which may be because of the methodology used in the early years that presents it as difficult and abstract. On the other hand, the Montessori Method uses a hands-on approach to teaching science from the early years. This study, therefore, looks at the effect of the teachers' utilization of the Montessori approach to early childhood education in Ika South Local Government Area (LGA)of Delta State, Nigeria. Two research questions and hypotheses were raised. The research design adopted for the study was a descriptive, pre-test, post-test, quasi-experimental method used to test the differences between the pupils' learning experiences in the two groups. The Taro Yamane formula was used to get the sample size, and a stratified random sampling technique was used to select 77 teachers and 40 nursery pupils, comprising ten each in experimental and control groups, in two schools in Ika South LGA of Delta State. The instruments to be used for this study will be self-designed multiple-choice achievement test questions in early years' science and four-point Likert-type self-structured questionnaires. The result indicates that teachers' knowledge and utilization of the Montessori approach to teaching pre-primary science is more effective than the conventional teaching method. Some suggestions were made for the way forward.

Abstract Agricultural science education is vital for Nigeria's economy and food security, yet traditional educational
methods often fail to equip students with the practical skills and knowledge needed in the agricultural
industry. This paper presents the Holistic Agricultural Science Learning and Assessment Framework
(AgriHOLIST), a comprehensive model designed to optimize student learning through the integration of
curriculum and assessment. Drawing from constructivism, experiential learning theory, and authentic
assessment principles, this framework fosters a student-centered, experiential, and industry-relevant
approach to education. The researchers synthesized insights from 46 research articles sourced from Google
Scholar and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) to develop the AgriHOLIST framework.
Constructivism emphasizes active student engagement and knowledge construction, while experiential
learning theory highlights the importance of practical experiences such as internships, fieldwork, and
simulations. Authentic assessment principles ensure that evaluations reflect real-world applications,
enhancing students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The findings from the study indicate that
the AgriHOLIST framework addresses key challenges in agricultural science education by bridging the gap
between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The framework's holistic approach enhances
student engagement, retention, and practical skill development, aligning educational outcomes with
industry needs. Stakeholder collaboration, including educators, policymakers, and industry professionals, is
essential for the successful implementation of this framework. In conclusion, the AgriHOLIST framework
offers a transformative approach to agricultural science education in Nigeria, preparing students for the
demands of the agricultural industry and contributing to sustainable development and food security.

Abstract By going beyond conventional measures,
this research article investigates the necessity to
reconsider assessment in the design of agricultural
science curricula. The goal of the study is to introduce
the Comprehensive evaluation Framework, a
conceptual model that incorporates qualitative
evaluation techniques, strikes a balance between
quantitative and qualitative metrics, and tackles
obstacles and constraints in the teaching of agricultural
science. The theoretical framework shows the
advantages and possibilities of qualitative evaluation
methods while examining the shortcomings of
conventional assessment metrics in agriculture
education. It also highlights how crucial it is to take
context into account when designing assessments. The
conceptual framework outlines the goals and
objectives of agricultural science education,
enumerates the necessary skills and knowledge, and
incorporates moral and sustainable conduct.
Contextual considerations, integration of quantitative
measures, and qualitative assessment methodologies
are some of the components of the Comprehensive
Assessment Framework that are described in the
conceptual model. It examines the connections and
exchanges among these elements and offers
suggestions for usage and execution. The practical
ramifications of reconsidering assessment in the
context of agricultural science curriculum design are
covered in the paper. It emphasises how assessments
should be in line with learning objectives, how to
better engage and motivate students, how to promote
critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, how to
support ethical and sustainable practices, and how to
encourage professional growth and lifelong learning.
This research report concludes by advocating for a
paradigm change in agricultural science education
assessment procedures. A more thorough and relevant
assessment process that equips students for the
changing demands of the agricultural science

Abstract Curriculum is the programme of instruction
students are exposed to in the teaching and learning
process. It is all the teaching and learning activities
teachers and students are engaged in a formal school
system from the beginning of the course of study or
training to the end. For effective utilization of the
curriculum there is the need for proper classroom
management which involves students, subject matter,
learning materials and learning environment in an
orderly manner. However, the educational system is
witnessing digital transformation driven by
technological advancement which seems promising.
To keep pace with this novel phenomenon and benefit
from the usage, management education needs to equip
teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to
leverage this technological advancement through its
integration in curriculum. This paper therefore
examines the technology to be deployed to the
classroom for effective management of students, its
benefits, potential approaches and considerations for
successful implementation.

Abstract This paper focuses on creating positive school climate for effective
implementation of early childhood care and education in Nigerian educational
system. Early childhood care and education is the education offered to children
who have not yet reached the statutory age of beginning primary school. This
type of education was given official recognition by the Federal Government of
Nigeria in the National Policy on Education. It is a critical period of rapid
physical, cognitive and psychological development of a child. The quality of
care and education which a child receives at this crucial age will determine to
a great extent the level of his/her physical and cognitive development in the
future. In view of this, creating positive school climate will aid effective
implementation of early childhood care and education. Improved school
climate is a goal to pursue, therefore educators need to constantly work towards
improving their school climate culture and conditions so that student learning
can improve. The study concludes that early childhood care and education
has a positive influence on educational development of children in later life
and some writers on early childhood education have asserted that investing
in it can yield high returns. The study recommends among others that
government of the various states of the federation should encourage the
establishment of the departments/units Early Childhood Care, and Education in
the various faculty of Education of the universities and colleges of education

Abstract Nigerian education system is currently bedeviled by a lot of problems so much so thai
stakeholders posit that standard of education has fallen over the years. Reasons given for
the fallen standard of education include under funding of the sector, poor salary package
for teachers, examination malpractice, corruption, widespread poverty, lack of teacher
commitment etc. These factors promote the perpetuation of a negative school climate
which has been consistently linked to poor teacher commitment and under achievement
in students' academic activities. This paper therefore reviews the concept of school climate
and strategies for promoting positive school climate for teachers' and students' through
management and administrative practices. It also explores the role of stakeholders whose
activities affect the school climate particularly the teacher who is seen as an educational
entrepreneur who uses his/her access to other stakeholders and all resources available to
him/her to create a positive school climate that is conducive for students to learn. It was
suggested therefore that school heads should make for a point of duty to build trusting
and respectful relationships with their teachers (colleagues), ensure there is
opportunity for in-service training, evaluate teachers' performance periodically based
on established clear goals and expectations and embrace the practice of shared decision
making, collaboration, group planning and consensus on school goals and student
outcomes.
