Background Asabor, Bivwiere Mary, Ph.D, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education, University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria. Asabor holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Delta State University, Abraka with focus on Corrupt Practices and Demographic Factors among Teaching Staff in Tertiary Institutions. In addition, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration with focus on Utilization of Teachers in Secondary Schools, from the same university, another Master’s degree in Hydrobiology and Fisheries with focus on Toxicology, from the University of Benin, Benin – City, and a Bachelors of Science Education in Biology from Bendel State University, Ekpoma now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. My areas of research focuses on administration, teacher education and development, school plant/ school business administration, human resource development, adult and non-formal education, ICT in teaching, quality assurance, learning resources, corruption, student absenteeism, comparative education, philosophy and sociology of education, biology and toxicology. I enjoy teaching as well as research and always motivate my students and challenge them to think critically, independently and proactively. She was recognized by the Strategic Institute for Natural Resources and Human Development and given the Pillar of Nation Building Award of Excellence in 2013.
